Wool Rugs

Wool has been the heart of hand-knotted weaving for centuries, and for good reason. It is naturally durable and springy, it resists everyday crushing and wear, it holds natural dye colour for decades, and it is naturally warm and a little water-resistant. A wool rug does not wear out so much as age gracefully.

There is also a comfort and a safety side: wool feels soft and warm underfoot, helps insulate a room, and is naturally flame-resistant. Compared with synthetic fibres, a genuine wool rug offers a sensory quality — the weight, the warmth, the texture — that simply cannot be imitated.

Each rug here is hand-knotted from natural wool on a sturdy cotton foundation — Turkish or Persian-style — a genuine antique, professionally restored and listed with exact measurements. Find a one-of-a-kind vintage wool rug built to last.
