A Hand-Woven Story from Kars

Kars, in Turkey's far northeast, has a rugged weaving tradition known for warm, densely knotted wool rugs built to withstand long highland winters. This one-of-a-kind vintage rug was knotted by hand in this tradition, then carefully restored in our workshop so it can begin a second life in your home. No two pieces are alike — the small irregularities in its weave are the honest signature of the hands that made it.

Colour & Character

The rug is built around earthy brown, carrying flowing floral motifs across its field. Years of gentle use have softened the palette into a calm, time-worn depth that new machine-made rugs cannot imitate. It brings instant warmth to a bohemian, eclectic or globally-inspired interior.

A Small Accent Piece

At 3'1" x 3'3", this is a generous small rug — ideal for an entryway, a bedside or layering over a larger rug. Hand-woven from natural wool on a cotton foundation, it is durable, naturally warm, and a sustainable choice.

Most of our rugs are handmade or vintage, so a little extra care keeps them looking their best for years.

  • Rotate your rug every few months so it wears evenly.
  • Blot spills right away with a clean, dry cloth — never rub, and avoid soaking the fibers.
  • For a deeper clean, we recommend a professional rug cleaner experienced with wool and vintage textiles.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, steam cleaners, and long direct sunlight, as these can fade colors or damage natural fibers.

Small irregularities in weave or color are part of what makes a handmade rug unique — they're not flaws.

We offer easy, no-questions-asked returns within 30 days of delivery, for items that are unused and in their original condition. Custom orders, sale items, and gift cards are not eligible for return.

If the mistake is ours — wrong or damaged item — we cover the return shipping. Otherwise, shipping costs are non-refundable.
