A Hand-Woven Story from Malatya

Malatya, in Turkey's eastern Anatolia, has a long carpet and kilim tradition known for warm, earthy palettes and durable, hard-wearing hand-knotted wool rugs. This one-of-a-kind vintage rug was knotted by hand in this tradition, then carefully restored in our workshop so it can begin a second life in your home. No two pieces are alike — the small irregularities in its weave are the honest signature of the hands that made it.

Colour & Character

The rug is built around burnt-orange balanced by earthy brown, carrying balanced geometric forms across its field. Years of gentle use have softened the palette into a calm, time-worn depth that new machine-made rugs cannot imitate. It brings instant warmth to a farmhouse, cottage or transitional interior.

At 4'4" x 11'9", this is a generous runner — ideal for hallways, kitchens, entryways and any long, narrow space. Hand-woven from natural wool on a cotton foundation, it is durable, naturally warm, and a sustainable choice.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals, steam cleaners, and long direct sunlight, as these can fade colors or damage natural fibers.

Small irregularities in weave or color are part of what makes a handmade rug unique — they're not flaws.

We offer easy, no-questions-asked returns within 30 days of delivery, for items that are unused and in their original condition. Custom orders, sale items, and gift cards are not eligible for return.

If the mistake is ours — wrong or damaged item — we cover the return shipping. Otherwise, shipping costs are non-refundable.
