A Hand-Woven Story from Kars

Kars, in Turkey's far northeast, has a rugged weaving tradition known for warm, densely knotted wool rugs built to withstand long highland winters. This one-of-a-kind vintage rug was knotted by hand in this tradition, then carefully restored in our workshop so it can begin a second life in your home. No two pieces are alike — the small irregularities in its weave are the honest signature of the hands that made it.

The rug is built around earthy brown balanced by faded rose-pink, carrying flowing floral motifs and balanced geometric forms across its field.
